Vietnam is a Southeast Asian country on the South China Sea known for its beaches, rivers, Buddhist pagodas and bustling cities. Hanoi, the capital, pays homage to the nation’s iconic Communist-era leader, Ho Chi Minh, via a huge marble mausoleum. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) has French colonial landmarks, plus Vietnamese War history museums and the Củ Chi tunnels, used by Viet Cong soldiers.
The lively city of Miami, in the sunshine state of Florida, boasts a diverse culture, fabulous beaches and year-long warm weather. The gateway to the Florida Keys, it attracts visitors from all over the world, who are drawn to the heady mix of Latin American/Spanish influences, the stunning Art Deco architecture and the upbeat vibe found in the many restaurants and bars that line Ocean Drive, Lincoln Road and Espanola Way.
We have visited this country so many times over the years and never cease to be amazed at just how much there is to do. From safaris in Kruger Park, to sailing on the African Queen out of Durban, zip-lining in the Pillaneburg and bungy-jumping in Cape Town, water-ski-ing on the Vaal River and tubing along the Orange River, we've ticked them all off our bucket list.
